In honour of the 10 years since the establishment of the Spetses Yacht Club (SYC), on the 27thJuly 2024 the Gustavia Yacht Club had the pleasure of hosting an incredible event at the home of our Commodore, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, on the Greek island of Spetses, ‘Arhontiko Aria’.
Over 70 people attended, among them members of the GYC and SYC, as well as younger SYC students who had the chance to get informed about both clubs and spend some time with their coach and peers.
In addition, both commodores, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and Mr Antonis Vordonis, welcomed the members and described the actions of both associations. Sir Stelios congratulated the sailing students and their coach Nikolas for their hard work throughout the year. Cocktails and finger food accompanied the celebration.
We look forward to hearing about their progress and upcoming achievements at our meeting next summer.
