On Saturday 7th January 2023, the Gustavia Yacht Club members enjoyed a dinner at the Club House in aid of the SNSM in Saint Barthelemy, a voluntary association who’s mission is to rescue people in danger at sea.
Joining us from the SNSM at this lovely evening were the President Ingenu Magras, the Captain Jerome Pellerin and 2nd Captain Julien Lestin. There was a presentation which started with a speech from our Commodore Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou thanking the SNSM for their hard work and commitment. President Magras and Captain Pellerin of the SNSM also gave speeches to the members and guests explaining the mission and also the struggles all the volunteers of the SNSM face. Following the speeches, the President and Captain were given a Gustavia Yacht Club burgee from our Commodore.
Donations made during the dinner held at the Club House will be doubled by the Stelios Foundation and donated to the SNSM.
