Dear Members of the Gustavia Yacht Club
As summer 2023 draws to an end we are pleased to announce our upcoming events in Monaco. Firstly, the biennial event Monaco Classic Week takes place 13th-16th September 2023. The Gustavia Yacht Club will have its own booth at the Yacht Club de Monaco Marina. Please feel free to visit our booth during opening hours and raise a glass to the sailors participating in the classic week.
Our 3rd Gustavia Yacht Club International photo contest awards ceremony will take place over dinner at 6pm on Friday 15 September 2023 at the Stelios Foundation Conference Hall 14 Quai Antoine Ier, 98000 Monaco. As in previous years the event is organized by esteemed member Jean-Pierre Hennequet jphsbh@gmail.com who will announce the 3 winners on the night.
The Gustavia Yacht Club will pay 6000 euro in cash prizes to the three winners and frame and exhibit the artwork in a special booth at the Yacht Club de Monaco Marina. Attendees to the dinner will have the chance to bid for the top ten photos at the auction on the night. The suggested donation for attending the dinner is 40 euros to be paid by bank transfer. 27th-30th September 2023, Monaco Yacht Show. As last year, esteemed member Patrick Coote, MD Europe of Northrop and Johnson kindly invites you to join him on their Signature Terrace set up during the Monaco Yacht Show on the Ruscino office of Sir Stelios.
Clube Naval de Cascais Invitational Cup, Portugal. 29th September to 1st October 2023. Looking for crew members for the Gustavia Yacht Club team. We are honoured to be invited by the Club Naval de Cascais to join their regatta in Cascais, a small town 20 miles away from Lisbon, where each team will be racing in J70s with a team of 5-6 crew members. Captain Brett Durrans and his crew will be flying the Gustavia Yacht Club flag and we are looking for more GYC members to join the team with all travel expenses and accomodation paid for by the Gustavia Yacht Club. The season opening of our club house in Gustavia will be on Friday the 17th of November 2023! Opening times 6pm till 10pm Monday to Saturday with the usual open bar and regular special events until the end of April 2024.
