We were delighted to have Pavlos Kontides back at the Stelios Philanthropic Conference Hall in Monaco following his participation at the French Olympic Week in Hyeres at the end of April. Pavlos, who is currently at the top of the Laser Sailing world rankings for the fourth time in his career, was given a warm welcome by Gustavia Yacht Club members. The evening started with a drinks and canapes reception before a special screening of The Power of One, a film showing how the silver medal Pavlos won for Cyprus at London 2012 in sailing brought hope to the nation during a time of crisis (duration 7min33sec). Afterwards, Pavlos shared his inspirational story with the audience before answering any questions they had. A wonderful evening was had by all.
