On Saturday 10th of June 2023 the Gustavia Yacht Club competed at Royal Irish Yacht Club challenge sailing J80s against another 7 teams from different parts of the world.
The opposing teams were:
- Royal Irish Yacht Club
- Irish National Club team
- Manhattan Yacht Club
- Barcelona Yacht Club
- Czech Republic Yacht Club
- Yacht Club de Monaco
- Lanzarote Yacht Club
Due to the wind dropping in the afternoon only 3 out of 5 races were completed on that day.
That evening, the Commodore of the Royal Irish Yacht Club Jerome Dowling and Captain of the Gustavia Yacht Club team Brett Durrans exchanged burgees.
